About twice a month we all hook up and pitch the latest song or songs that have been brewing in our belly.
They range from so many genres….rock, soul, worship, pop, folk. But it’s not everyday someone walks in, sits down and has a song they’ve written on the harp.
Connor Way is one of the youngest in the bunch but one of the most talented. He plays just about everything…he writes and composes but more than that, he has an incredible respect for the integrity of music and for music to convey and capture the emotions and the journey of the heart and spirit.
Um…in other words…he’s a genius.
A couple of weeks ago…he came to a song pitch meeting with harp in hand and absolutely rocked our world. Everyone in the room was rudely awakened by the beauty and emotion of his original song.
So…take a few minutes…get away from the business of life and work…put on some head phones….and enjoy.
Thanks so much for sharing that…just beautiful.
Connor has always been remarkable and leading him “in the way he should go,” has always been exciting. Its an enormous blessing to see not only how Jesus uses him, but to imagine what else He has in store for him. Connor’s desire is to use his music in redemptive ministry. We love this piece!
Connor has blown me away many times on his harp. I’m so lucky because he’s my nephew, and he makes it easy for me to pry a song out of him — be it on the harp, the piano, the guitar or anything that could serve as percussion. Keep your eye on Connor. He’s going places.
Hearing this song at O2 March 5th brought tears to my eyes. It was thee most beautiful song I’ve ever heard on a harp maybe ever in worship. No words are needed. It makes me wonder what David sounded like from long long ago. Thank you Connor for continually blessing my life with your music.
